Caregiving for an 85-year-old. The client is a tall and robust man who remains mobile for his stature—he moves independently around the apartment, uses a cane outdoors, and a stairlift assists him between floors. Although he has suffered a stroke, it has left no physical impairments, but he is dealing with mild depression and heart weakness. Due to previous health issues, he has a permanent catheter that requires care.
Your assistance will be primarily needed for partial personal hygiene, dressing assistance, and ensuring safe mobility within the space. The gentleman can lift himself in bed using handrails, so no physical lifting is required from you. In addition to direct assistance, you will manage the household, which includes cooking, laundry, and shopping. An important aspect is your presence and companionship, especially on days when his wife is working in Berlin.
Night work is not a regular requirement, as the client is generally independent at night. The caregiver is provided with superior privacy in the form of a separate living unit, consisting of a large living room with its own toilet and sink (the shower is in the main apartment). Internet access is, of course, available.

Vacation Coverage 13.05. - 10.06.2026. Caregiving for two seniors in a family home located in a rural area, with a separate, furnished guest room with Wi-Fi available. Both speak English well. A car with automatic transmission and a bicycle are available, but shopping options are not within walking distance. Time off is negotiable with the family.
Man, 88 years old, 80kg, 170cm is physically mobile and moves independently, but suffers from dementia with significant forgetfulness and has a history of stroke. Communication with him is normal. The caregiver provides support with simple daily tasks such as making coffee or turning on the TV, oversees the correct use of medication and prepares it, accompanies him to doctor appointments, and reminds him of personal hygiene. He does not require active nighttime care, although his day and night rhythm may be disrupted; intervention is needed only in emergencies. Lifting is not necessary, and aids such as a stair lift and ramp are available in the home.
Woman, 91 years old, 50kg, 160cm is mentally very clear but physically significantly weakened. She has recently fallen twice and is at acute risk of falling. She must be accompanied and supported while walking and needs assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and undressing. She also requires emotional support and help with daily activities. At night, she may need accompaniment to the toilet, and the caregiver must be prepared to respond if needed.
The caregiver is responsible for managing the entire household, maintaining order, cleaning, laundry, cooking, and meal preparation. They ensure shopping is done, provide companionship to the seniors, organize leisure activities, and accompany them on walks. A medium to good knowledge of German is required, smoking is only allowed outside the house, and an active driver is needed.

Care for a 92-year-old man (180 cm, 75 kg). He is mentally clear and oriented, suffers from general senile weakness and chronic constipation. He needs a rollator for movement; he is independent in walking, toileting, and eating. He needs partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene; he enjoys watching television. He requires light assistance when lifting (hand support), but depending on his daily condition, he can stand up by himself – a standing aid is available. He does not need active care at night, he uses a urinal bottle. The job includes cooking, cleaning, and laundry care – these tasks are performed in agreement with his wife (92 years old), who lives in the household and still partially participates in its operation, but should be relieved. The family can handle shopping; grocery stores are about 10 minutes on foot, the city center about 15 minutes on foot. The caregiver has access to a guest room with a private bathroom and internet in the family house; free time consists of 2 half-days per week. A kind, vital woman who can cook, with intermediate to good knowledge of German, is sought; smoking is tolerated only outside the apartment, no driver's license required. Start as soon as possible (3rd–18th September 2026).

Caregiving for a 91-year-old senior (160 cm, 65 kg) in Wilnsdorf (a village on a hill), dependency level 1. He is hard of hearing (requires speaking loudly and clearly), suffers from heart and kidney insufficiency, has a pacemaker, and must not be physically strained. Despite this, he is reasonably fit for his age, fully mobile, although he walks slowly. He is completely self-sufficient in dressing, hygiene, walking, and using the toilet. This is not a nursing case, and no caregiving service visits. The senior enjoys playing chess, appreciates company, and is motivated by walks and conversations – a sociable caregiver is sought who will also engage with him mentally.
The job responsibilities include preparing lunch and dinner, afternoon coffee/tea with pastries (he usually prepares his own breakfast), laundry and organizing clothes, cleaning, and changing bed linens. As needed, remind him to take medications and attend other daily appointments. Maintain regular contact with his daughter according to his health condition; if fresh groceries run out, contact the family via WhatsApp (the daughter visits every 2 weeks, a cousin lives nearby and assists with errands). Night work is not required, as the senior sleeps through the night; lifting is not necessary.
The caregiver has access to a separate adjacent apartment (40 m²) with a private bathroom and internet in a family house (110 m²). Free time can be flexibly arranged in agreement with the senior, with the main requirement being to adhere to meal times; leaving the house for 1–2 hours is possible, but staying in the house is preferred. This is a relatively easy position, primarily involving companionship and supervision. A woman with good German language skills is sought, preferably a non-smoker (smoking is tolerated only outside the apartment), with no need for a driver's license.

92-year-old lady (155 cm, 65 kg), who is currently bedridden and sleeps a lot. Mentally she is healthy, very intelligent, pleasant, and enjoys listening to music. Vision is age-appropriate, and she uses glasses for reading. She suffers from mild incontinence and osteoporosis, and has sensitive skin, so care during hygiene routines needs to be cautious. She requires assistance with dressing, hygiene, and using the toilet. At night, it is necessary to occasionally get up (max. 1 time) to help her to the toilet. She eats independently, but attention should be paid to ensuring adequate fluid intake. She lives alone, internet is available, the caregiver has a room with a private bathroom, and time off is by arrangement.

The senior suffers from significant dementia/Alzheimer's, but knows who he is, who his wife is, and where he lives; temporal and spatial orientation is only partially preserved, while orientation towards people is maintained. Requires complete transfer assistance (lifting with help), and may not always be able to cooperate, depending on the daily condition. Work follows a precise daily schedule (Mon–Sat): 11:45–13:45 breakfast and basic hygiene, 13:45–15:45 dementia-focused activities (gymnastics, games, wheelchair walks), 15:45–18:45 break, 18:45–20:45 preparation and serving of a hot dinner (for the senior, his wife, and the caregiver) and cleaning up, 20:45–22:30 break, 22:30–23:00 basic hygiene and putting to bed. From 5:00 to 9:00, the caregiver is on call (with a baby monitor), with 0–2 interventions needed for assistance with urination, after 9:00 the wife takes over on-call duties. Approximately half an hour daily for shopping (can be combined with a walk). A cleaner comes once a week, and a physiotherapist visits 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) for 40 minutes. Sunday is free. The wife lives in the house, does not require caregiving herself, but approximately 5 times a week a third hot dinner is prepared, and additional groceries are purchased as agreed. The apartment is 220 m², the caregiver's room is 114 m² with a private bathroom and 2 balconies, internet available. Free time is flexible (whole day or two half-days), as agreed. Looking for a caregiver aged 40–60 years, gender not specified, with good German language skills, smoking tolerated only outside the apartment, and it is desirable not to wake up very early (late dinner and waking up).
