Client
a woman 78 years 162 cm 54 kg
Caregiving for a 78-year-old lady (54 kg, 162 cm) with Alzheimer's and dementia in Leverkusen. The client resides in a house with a garden, and shops are accessible on foot. Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, she attends a day care center. A good command of German is required, smoking is not tolerated, but e-cigarettes are allowed outside. A driver's license is not necessary, and the caregiver should be comfortable with animals, as the client's son occasionally visits with a Jack Russell Terrier. The client moves independently and is in very good physical condition. She has speech disorders, weaker concentration, short-term memory issues, sometimes speaks confusedly, forgets to turn off the stove, but recognizes people and does not tend to wander. She has a strong sense of cleanliness and cleans frequently. Currently, she has a cold, and the family arranges all doctor visits. Care is focused primarily on well-being, activation, and maintaining daily structure. She falls asleep around 19.00 and wakes up at approximately 5.00. Walks are possible with accompaniment. She manages dressing, walking, hygiene, and toilet independently but needs guidance. She eats slowly and requires motivation and supervision for hydration. Occasionally, she doesn't reach the toilet in time, wears pads, and the caregiver should monitor their change and remind her of toilet visits. All tasks are performed slowly, so patience is required. The caregiver is responsible for cooking, joint shopping, cleaning, laundry, may do light gardening with the client, and is welcome to accompany her to church on Sundays. Night work and lifting are not necessary, as the client usually sleeps through the night. Accommodation is provided in a private room with its own bathroom and internet. Time off is negotiable.

No, completing a caregiving course is not necessary for most job positions; however, it is important to have at least some experience from a home environment.
Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
